It has a bridge across the lip to hold back ice. Pitcher is in very good vintage condition. It has been polished and has no wear to the plating. It has no dents and two small areas that show some very minor scratches. Pitcher measures 8 3/4 inches high at it's highest point. It holds about 6 cups.

This pitcher is so regal! The pitcher stands 8 inches high and from the back side of the handle to the front lip of the spout is 8.5 inches. The base and upper potrion has a wonderful detailing pattern. I decided not to shine this up because I love that old timey look, but it certainly could be shined up to look good as new. The bottom is marked with AVON WM ROGERS 3617. Throw a party. Use this pitcher. Make a statement.
