Great little Staffordshire hen on nest, 19th century, most likely was a covered salt. Measures 2.25" long by 1.75" high. The hen is done in colors of browns and tans on a grassy surround, the base a basket weave in a brownish orange. The condition is good, with the exception of the beak, looks like it has a nibble out of it, whether it was done in manufacturing or not I do not know, but point it out for accuracy. Still, she is a great little hen looking for a new box to nest in will it be with you?
