Blues legend Big Bill Broonzy's story in his own words, as told to Yannick Bruynoghe. Although he was born and raised in Mississippi, Big Bill was a pioneer of the Chicago style of blues. During his lifetime he recorded over 350 songs and was an inspiration to other blues legends, such as Muddy Waters and Memphis Slim. This edition was first published in 1955, with a foreword by Charles Edwin Smith.
