They were the reject pieces which were thrown out into trash heaps in the dirt or, some, I've read, were piled under floor boards and inside walls for insulation. ***Please Note** As a result of being buried for so long, the black glaze on these china heads is unstable. They have been washed. I do not

These are really beautiful vintage plastic buttons. They are ruby red flowers, with shanks. They were made in West Germany, some time prior to 1955. These are almost glass-like in their ability to capture the light and glow. I've tried to show how wonderful they are in the light - it was a very dark grey and rainy day in Seattle when I took these pictures, and I hope you can still see how they glow. These measure 22mm in diameter, about 7/8 inch, they are shown with 1 inch square art for your estimates.
This is a German bisque china porcelain doll head that measures 1 1/2 inches tall from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin. This doll head was dug up around a doll factory in Thuringia, Germany which operated between 1890-1920. These pieces are nice collectibles, good for altered art, mixed media, assemblage, and even for jewelry making.
This is a vintage German Bisque doll. The top of the head is open, but it was made that way. I'm guessing it was left open to add hair, but not quite sure. As you can see there is still paint on the face. Nice coloring. I was told it was dug up in Germany. I believe it is either bisque, porcelain or china. It measures 1 3/4" tall. Great to use in altered art or assemblage.
