The importance of the third earl of Burlington (1695-1753) as a patron and practitioner of the arts, especially of architecture, has long been recognised. Indeed he has been credited with sponsoring and engineering the Palladian revival in England. Despite his fame, surprisingly little has been written about him. Micro-Trains N Scale Burlington 60' Railway Post Office Car
This 60������� railway post office car is painted Pullman Green with gold herald and lettering. It was built in October 1917 by American Car & Foundry and runs on passenger trucks. The Burlington had at least 20 of these Railway Post Office cars in number series 2305-2324. Number 2322 was built by American Car & Foundry Company in October of 1917.
