Teapot Stoneware Handthrown Pottery 2
This teapots body measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". With the spout, handle, and lid it measures 8" X 6 1/4" and holds 6 to 7 cups. It has a vent hole in the top of the lid for better pouring and strainer holes for loose tea. We use this same style of teapot at out house and it does quite well at straining most of the tealeaves. I would still suggest using a strainer to pour the tea into the cup though. Tea brews better when allowed to be loose in the pot where it has room steep. This teapot is not intended for use

Glazed in a rich deep turquoise,jade green with a swirl of glaze design for a beautiful effect. It was then fired again to a cone 6.
