Lovely white vintage teacup and saucer. Pretty clusters of purple violets adorn the teacup on the front, back , inside and also on the saucer. Gold trim all around the edges along with sweet scallops on the saucer and base of the teacup. Wonderful vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Stamped Made in Japan on back of saucer. The teacup measures 2 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches across including the handle. Saucer is 5 1/2 inches across. So dainty and sweet !

I cannot tell if this is Wedgewood as there is no marking. But what a gorgeous child themed cup and saucer. The outside is like typical Wedgewood Jasperware in unglazed blue and white. The inside is glazed and a generous size (diam of bowl is 3.5"). Both pieces have a nice weight. A beautiful and classic teacup set that would fit into many different types of collections.
