This rare Cambridge Pottery 1895 - 1917 Small Pitcher #102 Claude Leffner Standard Glaze is 5 1/2 inches tall with a base of 2 1/8 inches and an opening of 3/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches. This was purchased at an estate auction. There is minor underglaze crazing but is undetectable when viewing the pitcher. Exceptional small pitcher in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Any non-perfections are from the firing /manufacturing process. A lovely diminutive form from Van Briggle Pottery, covered in a soft white matte glaze. Hand thrown, beautifully formed, it stands 3" high x 2" diameter around the widest part of the body. It is in mint condition, with an appropriate hand scribed mark on the base (see photo 6). The thrower's initials 'PG' are those of Paul Gibson, who created for Van Briggle for over 20 years, from the 1960's - 80's. A terrific addition to any Van Briggle Pottery collection - a delightful find!

This little pitcher measures 5 3/8'' tall. A 5 petal flower grows on a green stem with leaves. A green leaf is painted on the handle. This Watt yellow ware jig is marked, ''Oven ware, uSA, Watt.'' This jug is in excellent condition with bright colors and free of chips, cracks and crazing.

A hard to find small Watt yelloware 1/2 pint cream pitcher #62 in Watt's Apple pattern. Marked 62 in a circle on the base. An Apple with a 3-leaf stem is handpainted on the front. The 3-leaf variety of the Apple pattern is rarer than the 2 leaf and probably earlier. Watt decorators worked in groups of 3 women in simple assembly-line fashion for each pattern. It simply takes more strokes to paint 3 leaves and the handpainting process was modified to speed up production. In addition to the 3-leaf variation on
