Noritake lusterware porcelain relish tray dish japan handpainted This is a beautiful hand-painted lusterware relish / serving dish by Noritake, Japan. It features a lovely cottage & landscape scene. The colors are bright & vibrant, but there is some loss to the luster on the gray sky, etc. The relish tray is 12 " long by 5 " wide by 1 " high. The red backstamp on the bottom reads "Chikaramachi Hand Painted Made in Japan" with logo. This mark was registered by Noritake in 1928 & used until 1942.
I found this adorable little vintage Lusterware tea set circa 1940 from Japan. It is in excellent shape with the exception of what looks to be glue on the bottom of the plates, see picture 3, I am positive it will come off, but I will leave it to the lucky buyer of this item. A tiny chip on the edge of one of the plates, practically unnoticeable, and an even more unnoticeable chip on the lip of the cup that I missed the several times I went over the set. Here is a beautiful Norleans Japan teacup and saucer. It has yellow and purple roses on it. The cup is lusterware showcasing beautiful rainbows of purple and yellow on the inside. The plate has reddish purple and white roses separated by panels of gold detail. Both the plate and the saucer are trimmed in gold. The teacup measures 4" across and the saucer is 5 1/2". A small vintage Lusterware teapot with a bouquet of flowers gracing the front. A very pretty piece made in Japan. The handle at some point in its life has been repaired but is hardly noticeable. Set of four hand painted peach lusterware side dishes and one saucer, made in Japan. Plates are marked on the underside with double T's in diamonds from the Takito Company. This mark was used from 1880 to 1948. Marked with a bird (or dove) in a circle, this set has been identified by its stamped logo as manufactured by the Seiei Co. of Japan and believed produced between the 1930's and 1960's when the plant closed. While the Seiei logo remained the same bird in a circle over the years, they can be found in black, red, blue, or green, which may denote years of production.
