These two 8 1/2" wide plates were made by Bing & Grondahl, a Danish porcelain manufacturer established in 1853, which merged with Royal Porcelain Factory in 1987 and became the Royal Copenhagen. One picture is "The Yard and Washhouse" and the other is "The Kitchen." The edging is pierced, giving a lattice appearance. These would be a delightful wall hanging for a kitchen or hallway. This item is a 1973 Bing & Grondahl porcelain Christmas plate. The plate is 7 1/4" in diameter and decorated in the traditional blue and white of Danish porcelain. The plate is decorated with a family walking to a lighted doorway with welcoming friends in it. The tree in the yard has lights on it and all the houses windows are lit. There is a bright star in the center of the night sky. The Bing & Grondahl mark is on the plates back with the title "Country Christmas", with the initial "H" under it. There are
