A footed vase from Fischer, Hungary, in a folkloric needlepoint pattern. The white bulbous body is decorated with bold florals in cobalt, greens, mauves, red, blue and yellow. The base and rim feature a band of florals against a red background, with both trimmed in textured gold. Finishing the piece are two textured gold loop handles. Marked with an impressed "Fischer J. Budapest" and "274", this piece dates to the late 19th century. 6 7/8" tall, in nice condition with a small chip at the base (as shown).
