An antique porcelain teapot featuring pink and green rose decoration. The mold is very Victorian with plenty of scalloping at top rim and base. This is bulbous at the top half of pot and slims down towards the bottom. The handle and spout are just as fancy as the body of the pot. The hallmark on this demitasse pot is a stylized HO with a crown which is attributed to the Hermann Ohme Factory. We also find the Elysee mark indicating the mold. Elysee was one of the earliest blanks from the Hermann Ohme
Please consider this beautiful teapot a study piece, only. The handle has multiple repairs and has been (professionally) reapplied to the body. The finial on the teapot lid is missing. The lid has losses and a repair. However, this IS a good example of how Samson emulated the early Worcester soft-paste porcelain, with blue scales and beautifully painted "disheveled birds". They even copied the Worcester factory's signature "Fret Mark" in blue on the base. Inside the teapot is an interesting label which

What a find! It is rare to find ANY early 19th C teapot with a bridged spout, and this one was made by the elusive "Factory Z". Factory Z is noted for making very high quality wares from about 1790 to 1820. Ceramics researchers had been trying to attribute these pieces for years, and it has recently been determined that the maker is Thomas Wolfe. This teapot is lavishly decorated and trimmed with "silver lustre" (actually made by using platinum salts). The hand painted red and blue flowers and designs are
