Antique English Staffordshire pottery (glazed earthenware) nautilus shell form spoon warmer. The piece features a cream glaze and was manufactured by Ridgway, Sparks & Ridgway at the Bedford Works in Shelton, Hanley between 1873 and 1879. The underside is marked/impressed with "R S R" tied knot mark and pattern/date marks "8 A". Popularized during the Victorian era, spoon warmers such as this were used to keep silver spoons warm. The Indian Tree design has raised patterns of flowers, trees and leaves in country colors against a ground color of light caramel. Beautiful Victorian antique Staffordshire vase with an unusual wheat motif. The handles are molded with sprays of wheat and a spray of wheat with leaf is painted on the vase surrounded by a sky-blue background. The base was originally a wheat-colored gold lustre. An unusual pair of Victorian Staffordshire folk art vases molded with a pair of birds pecking at a fruit. Rather crudely molded with rough-finished interiors.
