I have for your consideration a absolutely wonderful and rare Limoges ewer/pitcher/vase bearing the William Guerin factory underglaze mark 3 (circa 1900). This Limoges blank was a highly coveted blank used primarily by Guerin and Pairpoint. As you can see from one of the pictures offered, a Pairpoint example of this mold is pictured on page 370 of Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, Third Edition, by Mary Frank Gaston and because of its rarity and unique relief work is valued at $2,200 - $2,700.

This is a unique little ewer that has been masterfully hand painted with purple berries that we in the Midwest call Possum Grapes. This is the first time that I've seen them used as the main motif on porcelain. The artist has used a brick red background at the upper portion of this piece and soft pastel on the lower portion. He has painted the deep purple clusters of grapes amongst fall colored leaves, placing them on the upper portion of the ewer. He has extended a few vines with leaves and berries down
I love this Italian hand made ewer or pitcher, it is so sophisticated with a soft glossy pink glaze, and designs in bluish gray and white enamels of a stylish retro modern candle-holder, an urn full of flowers and a cafe table with vase. The ewer measures 8 1/2" tall, it is signed to the bottom for Italy and I think the maker, though I cannot make out the details and have attached a photo for you to see. I am uncertain as to the date this was made, the look is very mid century, but I have a feeling that the
