Offered for sale is a lovely 5 well oyster plate by Theodore Haviland. There is both a printed mark and an impressed mark on the back. According to the book Haviland China by Travis the printed mark on this plate dates it to about 1895. The diameter is 9 inches and the plate is in pristine condition. Note the attractive border with gold decoration.

Simply elegant! Hand brushed gold on sparkling white porcelain, in a classic Haviland mold design, makes this oyster plate very special, indeed. The rims of this five well plate are slightly raised and have been brushed with gold. The rim of the plate is almost a ruffled shape and has also been painted with sponge gold. I have for your consideration a unique and lovely hand painted Limoges oyster plate bearing the underglaze mark 1 of the Vultury Freres Factory (Circa 1887) as well as a variation of the Lazeyres, Rosenfeld and Lehman Factory overglaze decorating mark 2 (circa 1910) with the additional notation "Made for Victor Freisinger". Outstanding condition for a 100 year old plate. No chips, crazing or cracks. On close inspection overall, spotty gold loss can be seen.
Pretty antique French Limoges oyster plate decorated with holly and berries. It is approximately 8-1/2 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. It is French factory decorated from around 1900, as you can see by its having two T & V Limoges marks on the back (under and over the glaze). The holly and berries decoration is hard to find and especially on an oyster plate.
This pretty little 5 well oyster plate is marked to the underside in green as Haviland France and additionally back marked in red with Haviland & Co Limoges. The hand painting is of delicate pink florals which look something like apple or dogwood blossoms but I believe they are actually wild roses. There is an embossed pattern gracing all the high points around the wells and gilt accent on the outer edges. No chips , cracks or repairs to the porcelain/china and the gold trim is very much intact.

Very elegant antique French Limoges oyster plate encrusted with gold. There are six wells for oysters, and each is formed in the porcelain just like a real oyster shell. Porcelain is like butter. Diameter of plate is 9 inches. It was made and decorated in the Charles Ahrenfeldt factory in France, circa after 1894, and was made for the exclusive Davis Collamore and Co. on Fifth Ave, NY, NY. Condition appears unused with no chips, no cracks, and no repairs. I have priced this for a quick sale. Lovely item!
