Here is a Stoke on Trent lidded casserole or tureen in the Savoy pattern. It was made by Empire Works in the late 1880's. The pattern is blue and white roses embedded in the blue. It is 5" tall with the lid on. It is 10" across the top. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks or repairs.

Though not without its flaws, this is a big and impressive early soup tureen with its undertray. The shape is ornate and unusual, with its handle and foot details, gadroon border, and ornate finial.
