Crown Pendant on leather cord

I have my son to thank for the inspiration for this pendant - he was looking through my rubber stamp collection one day and suggested that it would be nice for a silver pendant. This simple straight forward choker length necklace is unisex. I applied a colourful patina to the crown area only and a matt finish to the rest of the pendant. Five handmade beads are knotted into a black leather cord, finished with a handmade sterling silver clasp. The red beads are ceramic that I handroll, glaze and then raku fire. The result is both vivid and earthy. I also handform the sterling silver wire beads. I love the color combinations in this piece...bright red, shiny silver and the black cord.
