This is a really cool item. A genuine Medieval Bronze coin, Cleaned in olive oil with care over many months and it came out with spectacular details! I know it is the genuine deal, not completly sure it is roman though. I am so excited to offer this item,I am very close to keeping it for myself. Ancient Greek Coin Pendant Necklace
A few years ago I bought a little stash of ancient Greek coins and had molds made of some of them. This necklace features a pendant cast from one of those molds: it's a drachm made during the Hellenistic period (323-31 BC), from Illyria (now part of both Yugoslavia and Albania). Cast in solid sterling, the pendant has nice weight and thickness. The front shows a cow suckling her calf, along with some text. BIGGS JASPER BACKED MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR CUT COIN WITH TURQUOISE ACCENT NECKLACE
I cut out this coin a couple of years ago and just did make a setting for it. The coin was a pre-1900 Morgan silver dollar, but that is a moot point since I cut off the date :o) I made the bezel from half-round ring stock and then soldered it to the plate and added the turquoise accent. The coin is backed with a disk of Biggs picture jasper. I cut the turquoise accent from a nugget with matrix rather than the plain blue so it would have authenticity.
