This 19th century fine feathered friend is from my collection of antique English steel stamps, ornately made by an expert craftsman from long ago. Tiny Hydrangea and Pink Sapphire Ring 18k and Sterling Silver
Two teensy 18k gold hydrangeas are set on top of a sterling silver band. Bezel set between the yellow gold flowers is a very fine, genuine, 1.5mm pink sapphire. Although these tiny flowers are the smallest I've ever made, (measuring just 6.3mm across) they have all the fine detail of my larger hydrangea blossoms. The sterling ring has some tool marks and textures that give it a slightly rustic and primitive feel. The band measures 1.9mm wide and 1.7mm high. The silver has a soft, bright satin finish. The
