Pianist Marianna Rashkovetsky plays Brahms, Chopin, and Grieg. The album opens with Brahms���s piano transcription of the Bach Chaconne for the left hand, an unusually difficult piece which is seldom performed. The concentrated and passionate Brahms Intermezzi opus 117 follows. She plays a sampling of the brilliant Chopin Edudes including the passionate and complex No. 7 and finishes the album with the infrequently played Grieg Piano Sonata opus 7 in E minor.
