Gourd Drum

This swan gourd drum measures 14" wide by 7" deep. The diameter of the drum skin is 9". The drum has a beautiful deep sound to it. The goat skin was soaked in water, then stretched across the gourd and placed with brass tacks. The design on the gourd is made from the cardinal vine that grows in my back yard.
