I found one of these candlesticks about 20 years ago. I was going for that whole look of singles grouped together. Then, about 5 years ago I was browsing in an antique mall and found the matching candlestick. I was so happy to have the pair, I felt they were reunited orphans, LOL. They are marked Forbes S.P. This pair of candlesticks came from Paris a number of years ago. The lady that I bought them from said she purchased while on a trip to France; she is a retired antiques dealer from southern Virginia. They are absolutely gorgeous with a banding of acanthus leaf design and lovely beading. They appear to be of a silver plate over copper, which is very unusual. These are two scrolled, antique, chandelier candlestick holders that have been painted with durable, glossy white enamel paint, so they will resist scratches and chipping. They have glass, opaque white crystals hanging from silver hardware. The decorative candle holders themselves are made of very heavy metal. They are solid and in excellent condition. Isn't it romantic??!! Inspired by tarnished antique silver candlesticks, these are a deep silvery-pewter color. There is a subtle black floral pattern on each - one with larger flowers and one with smaller flowers. Each flower has a few tiny raised white spots in the center for accent.
