This is a lovely Art Deco style vintage print of two ladies in a fantasy garden. The colors are lovely. It is by the American artist, Chester K. Van Nortwick (1881-1944). The artist did quite a bit of work for the Gerlach-Barklow calendar company. The company described his work to that of Maxfield Parrish. It is in a brown Eastlake frame, measuring approximately 16 1/2" tall and 12 1/2" wide. The interior measurements, taken from the back, are 14 1/4" tall and 10 1/4" wide. The frame has older glass, a

This painting is a Maxfield Parrish illustration, "Riverbank, Autumn". The print is good quality from a calendar. The colors are bright; Parrish is known for his distinctive saturated hues. This Art Deco era print would be at home in a 30s house, an Arts and Crafts bungalow, a modern house or museum. Framed in gold, it measures about 2½ x 2¼ inches. This larger size would also work in a 1:6 (playscale) setting.
