Larger basket features a frosted etched flower on both front and back. Sides have etched leaf and stem. Smaller basket is of the same design, but is crystal clear with no etching to the glass. Both have scalloped rims and mold pressed rings encircling the baskets towards the top. Bottoms have lovely sunburst or petal designs. Condition is perfect. NO signs of any wear whatsoever. I am unsure of the maker of this clear etched glass brides basket, but it could possibly be Duncan & Miller, Fenton, Viking or Westmoreland. It stands about 9 1/2 inches tall, about 6 inches wide at its widest point and about 3 1/2 inches wide at its narrowest point.There is a flower and leaf pattern etched into each of the 8 panels of the basket. Antique glass basket featuring a pretty scalloped rim. We find gravic cut daises on the body. The applied handle was made to look woven with a raised design. Decorating the base is a nice 24 point star. Manufactured by Duncan & Miller c. 1890s. Measuring 11.5" tall to top of handles we find a tiny flake of the handle which we have pictured. There are bubbles from the manufacturing process but all an all a beautiful antique piece.

At an estate sale here in the area, I was fortunate enough to buy this absolutely stunning Bride's Basket. There are no chips or cracks and is beautiful. I believe it to be Duncan Miller glass, however, it is not marked. The basket is heavy - it weighs 2 1/2 pounds. Wrapped it will be over three pounds. I shall keep that in mind as I price it.
