This has got to from about civil war 1860s up to 1910 the latests because it has a three dimensional armature in back that really lloks like it holds a small framed photo or tintype or glass goldtone that is framed. It is asis alittle paint shabby, lovely rust and patina and the brass corner struts are gorgeous details, all leaves. A nice vintage Lucky Strike Flat Fifties Cigarette Tin with the Indian Chief interior stamp and The American Tobacco Company verbiage. If you are a collector or just want a fine old tin, this is the one. The tin has red sides and the top has a very pretty bowl of painted flowers. It measures 8 1/2" in diameter and is 2" in depth. Vintage Tin Octagon with Cloisonne Mosaic Look
This eight-sided vintage tin has alternating designs on each panel. Some have a cloisonne, mosaic look in blues, peach peach and green. The others have an ivory background with beautifully painted flowers. The lid reflects the same designs topped off with a brass colored finial knob. The tin was Made in Germany. It is 5 1/8" in diameter and 6 1/2" tall (including the lid). The outside of the tin is in great condition, showing minimal wear and tear. However, the inside does have some rust.

This very small, antique * TIN TOLE PAINTED TRAY * shows a hand painted scene of a Sailing Ship on the ocean, sailing in to port. The colors are nice, there is a nice patina of age to this. There is also age crazing, normal in old painted items. Small trays such as this one were once used to keep wooden matches handy, but it could hold small things for a desk - you'll find a good use for it.
