Agggghhhh! Two pairs of ridiculously sweet and friendly pets adorn these two porcelain plates made in Germany by the Kaiser company. The decorative plates were a staple for Kaiser, and are highly collectible. The backs of them are numbered 27 and 50. They look lovely on the wall together, and their hanging loops are intact. This is a vintage German Bisque doll. The top of the head is open, but it was made that way. I'm guessing it was left open to add hair, but not quite sure. As you can see there is still paint on the face. Nice coloring. I was told it was dug up in Germany. I believe it is either bisque, porcelain or china. It measures 1 3/4" tall. Great to use in altered art or assemblage.
Here are some vintage binding arms that are used in a many of my assemblage artwork. At the time of purchase, I was told they were dug up out of the dirt of an old abandoned doll factory. This is such a beautiful Victorian Art Nouveau Reticulated Porcelain Bowl, Made in Bavaria. These pretty floral cabochons are porcelain from 1950's West Germany. They have a pretty violet flower decal applied to the front of each heart. The porcelain is quite lovely - when you hold these cabs to the light and put your finger behind them, you can see the shadow of your finger, just like you can with fine china tea cups. The flower image has an ivory background with a nicely detailed purple and green violet flower. They are absolutely perfect. These hearts measure 18mm top to bottom and 16mm across
