Fun vintage powder or vanity jar, with cutest little terrier sitting engagingly on the top. Great little fellow looks very attractive from all angles - he is very three dimensional and the jar is much prettier than the photos suggest. The glass is very pale pink and is in excellent order with no damage or other issues. The jar measures 4 1/2" to the top of the dog, pretty and unusual vanity jar for a collection or for a dog lover.
Taussaunt Powder Box Dermay 1930s Vanity Aqua Blue Glass. Aqua blue satin glass vanity powder box. Made in 1930s according and listed on page 57 of the Whitmyer Bedroom and Bathroom Glass of the Depression Era book. These came in several colors at the time of production and this is the aqua or blue box. Size is 3.875 inches square box that is 3.50 inches tall. A collaberation between a French Glass Company named Taussaunt and an English company name Dermay produced this together in the 1930s for the USA
This lovely lady is wearing an off the shoulders ruffled gown of pale yellow with lavender trim. She has a lavender flower in her hair and is holding a bunch of lavender flowers in both hands. Hanging on one arm is a lavender hat with flowers. The gown is adorned with two lavender flowers on the bottom ruffle. The bodice is decorated with a bow, and she is wearing a watch on her right arm. Antique, footed powder box that is also a music box. Inside the lid is a mirror, which you don't see very often with these. The top features a celluloid inset with the picture of a lovely, young woman. It's silver/pewter color with solid, brass feet and measures 4 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter. This amazing piece I have for you was made by the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Company which is well known for their exquisite quality in glass making. This is the Love Birds pattern with the frosted raised pattern on the outside of the piece and polished smooth glass on the inside. This lovely Art Deco satin glass powder box is decorated with lovebirds and an embossed design of leaves and flowers. It is white satin glass and dates to the 1930s. A wonderful piece that would look great on anyone's vanity or dresser. It measures about 5 1/2 inches tall and it is 5 inches in diameter. It is in very nice condition. There is one very tiny chip to the bottom which is not visible when the jar is sitting up. Otherwise, no problems.

This old pewter box wrapped in butterscotch bakelite was once most likely a portion of a larger dresser set. It stands alone nicely and plays the sweetest tune-can't make the song out as yet but it is almost like a Swiss Waltz. The woman that I bought these lovely powder boxes from said that she bought them in London. They are made of peach and light brown pearlescent celluloid. The powder puffs are attached to the underside of the lids and fit perfectly in the boxes. The lids have a white celluloid finial and there are three white feet under each box. Each box measures 3 3/4" across and the height of each one is including the finial is 1 3/4". Excellent condition with no cracks or discoloration.
Made by Elgin American, this Rococo style goldtone compact is also a music box. When the lyre closure is opened The Anniversary Waltz plays. This powder compact is complete with its green slipcase, original puff and original box all marked Elgin American. This is a very old metal powder or trinket box. Measuring 6 inches across, it is painted black with 3 ornate feet and on the lid is a round romantic picture. Inside the lid has a mirror. In perfect condition in every way except for the black paint which is scratched, worn, etc. Please check my pictures for condition of paint. It would be easy to redo if you want it pristine. This is a lovely vintage face powder box from Park & Tilford. I love the edge graphics. This is never used and still sealed. It's marked on the bottom of the box Brunette. Marked on the front Distributor N.Y.C. 1 Oz Net. The diameter of the box 3 1/2".
This oldie is in pretty good condition. There is no damage at all to the glass bottom. The lid actually has no dents. The top of the lid has painted flowers in silver. The underside of the lid has blackish marks. The side of the lid has some rust specks. I think it is rust. The bottom is marked "Made In Canada". There is also a logo that Is too small for me to make out. Perfect for holding your rings or other jewels. It is still a handy and pretty box to hold your treasures. The box is about 3 3/4" across.
