This is a 1950's Hobnail Milk glass, star shaped set, sugar and creamer, #3906. Made by Fenton it has a star shaped top edge, and was introduced in Milk in 1951. The creamer spout was changed in the early 1960's, Fenton made it more elongated. Both pieces are 3" tall. The creamer is 4 3/8" from spout to handle and the sugar is 5" from handle to handle. They are in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks.
This adorable Hobnail Cream and Sugar Set was made by Fenton in the 1950's-60's. They made these hobnail cream and sugar sets in a number of shapes and sizes but this set is their "star shaped" hobnail set. The top of both the cream and sugar are shaped in an eight point star with one of the points on the creamer rounded into a spout. Each piece of this set is in excellent condition. Both pieces stand 2 " high. The creamer is 4 " from spout to handle and the sugar bowl is 5" from handle to handle.
These uniquely shaped containers are 2 3/4" high, with the traditional hobnail, nice handles and a chocolate shade that leans toward pink. They are 4 1/4" and 5" across, and sturdy enough to be quite functional. These would add a unique quality to a Fenton collection, or spice up a tea set. Fenton began as a glass decorating company in 1905; they began producing their own glass in 1907. This is the white milk glass star shaped creamer and sugar made by The Fenton Art Glass Company in the Button and Daisy pattern. These items were produced from 1953 to 1956. If you are looking for earlier milk glass that shows a lot of fire when held to the light, then you'll like this. They show about as much fire as I have ever seen. I tried to picture this, but the picture doesn't do it justice. These are unmarked as Fenton only marked with paper labels until the early 1970's. The sugar measures about 2

This is the white milk glass hobnail creamer and sugar. This is the set with the star shape made by the Fenton Art Glass Company. This set is unmarked because Fenton did not start adding their logo into the glass until the early 1970's. I'm sure that they originally had a paper label which has since been removed. I believe that the earlier milk glass is the prettiest because it has a transluscency that allows the light to come through. Collectors refer to this as having "fire" because it gives off a reddish

These are the most delicate and subtly ornate pieces of R.S. Prussia we have seen in quite some time.
