Yes, it is actually a Venetian Murano glass bead completely encased in real gold. It is not just goldfoil so it will not flake off. Any reflections are of the surrounding area when I was photographing it. * I can offer you a certificate of authenticity for this piece, my Murano bead maker's name will be removed of course - I am not giving away my secrets.
