This 1949-D Washington Quarter is a very pretty MS-64 Near Gem. To start with there are almost no contact marks visible to the naked eye. That leaves plenty of room for your eyes not to obstructed by the beautiful light golden toning on the obverse which perfectly complements the luster. The tone on the reverse is must deeper and bolder. Its more of a light gold that wants to be red and has stopped about half way between both colors.
