A lovely pair of German bisque children, each holding their pet. The girl is holding a large gray cat and the boy is holding his dog. They have hand painted faces and details on their clothing. There are no marks to indicate who made these figurines. There are some penciled inscriptions inside the bottom of the bases. On the girl it appears to say "Julia 1889 2 yrs old" and on the boy "received Sept 24 1927 at McComb". The girl is 11 3/4 inches tall and the boy is 11 1/2 inches tall. Condition Girl - It

The little boy is marked on the base with Heubach sunburst trademark. The modeling is especially crisp and "early of the mold" on this little pair of charmers.

A nice set of little bisque German dollhouse figures. We have here Grandpa and Grandma, Mom and Dad and a darling little boy - all that's missing is a little girl but maybe she's off visiting a friend! I know the little boy is a Hertwig, I can't say with any certainty that the others are too but they are all quite similar and all are marked with an incised "Germany". They are in excellent condition with just a few spots of missing paint here and there. They are looking for a house that will accommodate all

Unfortunately, none of the German Piano Dolls have markings on the bottom; however it is the way they were
I have included a close up photo of the mark. They look like Heubach piano babies, but the mark is faint, and I don't recognize it. They also have numbers on the bottoms....11644 and 11651, So, I am considering them German, but not necessarily Heubach. They measure about 5 & 1/2 inches long, and 3 inches tall. The little boy is holding a basket, and the girl is holding a cluster of grapes. There are no chips, or cracks, but the finish is a bit of a mystery to me. It looks like their skin was painted a flesh

As well as dolls, the German porcelain company Gebruder Heubach created very popular bisque piano sculptures, including the "Bonnet Girl" piano baby, between 1880 and early 1900s. Victorians who owned grand and baby grand pianos liked to decorate their pianos with beautiful silk scarves which had a tendency to slip off. Thus the piano baby, to hold the scarf in place. This large, ten-inch bisque piano baby very much resembles the Gebruder Heubach babies, but there is no Heubach mark. Incised on the bottom
Vintage, (Circa 1900) German, Bisque, "Little Squirt", Naughty / Naughtie - Adorable, Plump Little Boy Answering the Call of Nature. Naughtie's were originally filled with liquid which would squirt from an orifice. At one time, all of these wonderful "squirts" had a rubber bulb perched atop the figurine. When the bulb was squeezed the liquid would squirt from an appropriate orifice. The liquid comes out in a thin stream and can cover a surprisingly long distance! This cute, German, bisque, naughtie is well

The only condition issue I see is a crack at the bottom of the base in front, which I believe you can see in the photos. It's not something that's real noticeable. Sweet... Thanks for stopping by. This nude beauty has original mohair wig in platinum blond. Her hair is encircled with a silk ribbon and trimmed on one side with tiny rosettes of silk ribbon in shades of rose. Her wig appears to have been seated over molded and fired original bisque hair in a chestnut shade. Wig has worn nearly away in the spot where the bisque hair shows through. Under 10x magnification, it's possible to see the fine grids of the original silk gauze wig foundation (invisible without magnification) atop her chestnut

This is a lovely figurine of a German Girl holding the edge of her dress of her head. The bisque figure is 5 inches tall and 3 5/8 inches wide. There is a hairline by the feet and a glaze skip and also a hairline at the bottom on the back. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs. It does have some soiling.

Made in Bavaria, and stamped on the bottom, this beauty dates from the turn of the 20th century. The letters O.C. and some blurred numbers are stamped into the back of her head, which would normally be covered by a wig. She wears long gray stockings and black pumps and only needs a hairdo to look stunning. (Check online for surprisingly easy instructions for making a replacement wig.) Her facial features are finely done, with one-stroke brows, coral lid lines and lips, and 3-color irises--periwinkle blue,

Blonde, buxom, and bawdy, the Five Barrison Sisters once billed themselves as the "wickedest girls in the world." Granted they were performing in the 1890s, when the bar for wickedness was pretty low, but the five sisters (and they were indeed siblings) tantalized and titillated music hall audiences in Europe and the United States with their on-stage naughtiness. Often dressed in girlish costumes, with frilly bonnets and long ruffled dresses, the sisters would warble songs full of double-entendres and
This 13 inch tall German figurine, circa the late 1800s, is quite charming with her detailed Victorian costume and sweet little puppy pal. The pug sits contentedly on top of a nice warm muff. The girl wears a fur trimmed coat and a hat adorned with a feather. She has molded and painted facial features and hair. The figurine is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It is incised "749//02." I like to display these figurines with dolls as they add a little zing and variety to a collection.
