This is a very nice piece from the Fenton glass company. It is a paperweight in the shape of an eagle produce to commemorate our American Bicentennial in 1976. It is made of slag glass in patriot red, a color that became part of the patriotic line to honor the Bicentennial. The paperweight is 3 3/4" H and 4" W. Impressed at the bottom is : 1776 American Bicentennial 1976 with the Fenton oval logo. There is also a paper sticker. The paperweight is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks.
Made only for the Bicentennial year of 1976 comes this deep ruby with orange almost slag glass paperweight. This has a very majestic eagle with spread wings on a circular base. Handmade American Independence Lantern. Made around a special edition 1776-1976 Bicentennial "Ball" mason jar. The jar is a classic blue tint and has a commemorative U.S. seal with eagle. The hanger bar is American steel hand bent and twisted and has colors ranging from black, steel, blues and golds. The diamond willow upright is flame hardened and hand polished with a satin finish. The handle has leaves and berries with an Eagle at the top. The condition is excellent with NO chips, cracks, breaks or damage of any kind.
