19thC Metallic Gold Tassels Drapery Tiebacks or Belt

A lovely set of antique Gold Metallic Tassels. The tassels are attached to a very long thin "belt". I don't know what they were used for originally but thought perhaps as a drapery tieback or belt. Each tassel measures 7 1/2" long and the entire piece is 99" long. The tassels and rope are in very good overall condition. The only thing to note is a few places on the rope where the metallic thread has become separated showing the rope underneath, it is not damaged just the threads need to be pushed over.

I crocheted a very long black scarf and added some gold crochet yarn into the tassels. This scarf was originally designed with our local Warren Harding Raiders school colors in mind. A Passel of Tassels ... and amber bead trim

Somehow I have accumulated these tassels plus some lovely amber beaded trim that was supposed to decorate a pillow ... someday :)).
