I threw this lidded jar on my potters wheel. The glaze is a soft winter white that is of course lead free and food safe. The whimsical bee images are from the children?s reader ?Seaside and Wayside? published in 1887/1901, and were applied with a third firing. The handle is a twig from one of my ponderosa pines and has been coated with a water based polyurethane to protect it.
