"The Umbrella" 7 x 10 inches This lovely picture depicts two quaintly-dressed children of the Victorian era strolling together in the rain. Of particular interest to scholars of historic costume are the unusual rain clogs attached to their feet. On the back, written in pencil, it says "1909. A Merry Xmas. Mary Frances, from Mamma." The edges of the page have a lot of chipping and browning, but except for the edges, the page is sturdy and not brittle. There is a small discoloration in the lower corner. The
