Abalone Sea Shell Shadowbox
This shiny black shadowbox started out as cherry-colored picture-frame jewelry box that has been repurposed. I took it apart, spray painted it black, and glued glass into the front of the box. The decoration inside the box started as a 6-inch length of a nominal 1x4 inch piece of lumber. To it, I have attached cleaned-up, hand-broken pen shells as a background and a red abalone sea shell in the center.
