A pleasant, medium-bodied wine, with caressing tannins and a medium finish. Silky, with good berry and chocolate character. A little more midpalate would be nice. ??J.S. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2006 Magdelaine, Chateau 750ml
The 75 hectares of the Ducru Beaucaillou vineyard stretch out along the eastern side of this vast communal terroir, hugging the river in the area where the quaternary gravels are the deepest The stones have many advantages, enhancing soil drainage, reflecting the sun on the grapes in these closely planted vines, storing heat in the daytime and restoring it at night, affording a protective cover to the soil against desiccation during the hot summer months, and so on The clay subsoil regulates the water

The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition blanc is a blend of 40% Roussanne, 40% Grenache Blanc, 12% Clairette, and 8% Bourboulenc. Notions of nectarines, lemon zest, honeysuckle, and lemon oil emerge from this beautiful, full-bodied, crisp white. It is best consumed over the next 4-5 years, although increasingly I am finding these wines age much longer than expected. -Wine Advocate - Chateau La Nerthe Chateau-neuf Du Pape Blanc 2005 750ml France Chateauneuf-du-pape -
The colour is a deep dark red, perhaps darker than usual at Chateau Musar. The nose is a complex intriguing mixture of figs, prunes, leather, dark tea, tobacco, black olives with spices and a certain earthiness. On the palate, you will find ripe black cherries, figs, damsons-even chocolate and olives. There is good acidity with nice smooth tannins resulting in a wine which full-bodied, rich and velvety with very long length. In summary we feel that the 2000 vintage is a serious wine with serious ageing

Chateau Talbot 2006 St. Julien 750ml FUTURES (16142) RP: " The 2006 Talbot is a more seductive, possibly sexier wine than the 2005, which is seemingly more reserved in that top-notch vintage. The 2006 exhibits sweet, olive-tinged black cherry and currant fruit, soft tannin, a heady attack, good freshness and acidity, and a lush, fleshy finish. It will drink beautifully in 4-6 years, and last for two decades." each: $46.95 each: $563.40 Cabernet Franc St. Julien

The harvest is carried out when the grapes are mature and more than half of the vineyard is hand-picked. The wine making is exclusively on the lees mainly in stainless vats. The maturing on the lees and the technique of 'batonnage' brings more complex fruit to the wine. It is bottled at the Chateau in the Spring.. Perfect match for clams or oysters on the halfshell.. Loads of minerals, lemon, lime, and stone in this beauty.
