Zoya is a one of a kind art doll by doll artist Nancy Perennec made using a unique papier mache technique. Other materials include: styrofoam, wire, paper clay and apoxie. She started as a wire armature and styrofoam blocks that I build up with layer upon layer of paper, sanded endlessly, applied several coats of gesso and again sanded endlessly before painting. These fabulous papier mache skulls have been meticulously handcrafted in Mexico. These are at least twice the size of the papier mache skulls that we prevously stocked and are painted in a dramatic black and white motif. All handpainted, each skull is slightly different but all are great. They measure approximately 5 inches by 4 inches and would be great on your Day of the Dead altar or for use in an art doll.
