This is a cute needle felted stocking I have needle felted the Chihuahua with raw wool. The wool has been colored and then sculpted with the needles to give it the shape. Sock is felt, and I have added a vintage piece of chenille trim at the top, along with vintage looking ric rac. He holds a chenille candy cane. What I love about this series of cartoon-y characters is that they are only cute, but they're fuzziness is reminiscent of the animals they represent! After hanging several in my daughter's room, it softened up the space. I make these pieces by taking a base, that I've knitted and felted, then applying the needle felted artwork, which my graphic designer husband is responsible for creating.
