This duck candy container has quite a large head! His head is heavy but he still stands! And the spring as his neck really makes his head move! He is not marked, but I had a second one that I bought at the same time that was Made in Western Germany. This guy has a "dew" finish. He also has glitter on the blue half. He is wearing a red crepe paper bow tie. His eyes are painted on. He has the usual German wallpaper on the inside. He measures 5-1/2" tall with a 2-1/4" diameter. His original price and changes

Such a dear and different Halloween lantern is this wonderful pumpkin jack o lantern with a cardboard nose. His mark isn't readable but I'm certain he's German, especially because of the round circle at the base. The lantern is 5 1/4 inches tall; he's got his original insert with google eyes but his bail handle didn't last. The sides are pulling at the staples, but secure, there's a little wear to the inside of the insert (a small tear at the left end of his teeth shows at the front), it looks as if there

Fresh to the market from an extensive collection of antique candy containers is this exceptional pair of German St. Patrick's Day paper mache candy containers. The figures are of an Irish girl and boy; it is difficult to say whether they are paper mache, composition, or bisque. Both figures are solid. Each stands on a cardboard box and can be lifted to reveal a small area for storing candy. It appears the bottoms had crepe paper at one time so it's difficult to see any markings; there appears to be the
These are great! AND a hard to find pair, still together. The handsome groom has a plastic body, crepe paper tuxedo jacket and hand painted paper mache head. His left hand is paper mache, and his right hand is missing. His lovely bride is paper mache from the waist up, and her bottom half is cardboard. She is wearing a lace veil, and fragile crepe paper gown. As you can see in the photos, the gown has some tears. Both figures are about 10 inches tall. Her head has been re glued in place. It is a good

Springhead Snowman Nodder German Paper Mache Candy Containers Tiny beads of light reflecting material cover the exterior of this antique snowman candy container. They look like dew drops and allow him to glisten under light, as though he were really made of ice crystals! He is also a springhead, a very debonair one at that, sporting an excellent red top hat. Add to these great attributes that he is a genuine German candy container dating to the 1940's, AND that he is very clean both inside and out. His

His cardboard top hat is covered in black cloth and is in perfect shape. He has black paper eyes and buttons, and a terrific tufted carrot nose made from orange felt. Offered for that special collection is this paper mache Santa candy container. It stands 8 1/2 inches tall and has an opening on the bottom for candy. The container isn't marked but has the German staple construction, a fur beard, and a jolly Belsnickle face. I believe the bottom cardboard piece has been replaced; the original probably had the Made In Germany or Germany stamp. His hood and tomato red coat are trimmed in chenille and he's holding a metal tree. There's a little paint loss in spots and his

Looks like this bunny is emerging from a cracked egg or just chose to rest a minute in one. He stands 5 1/2 inches tall; the rabbit is flocked and the entire container is painted. The trap at the bottom marked Germany is stuck, possibly glued or painted over. There's some missing paint in a line on one side that show staples holding together a cardboard front and back, and a spot of missing paint on the back bottom. The tips of his ears have a little damage. So precious and quite unusual; he'd be a keeper!
