This is an original design influenced by our Native Indians. I enjoy the art of Native Indian bead work and have come up with some unique designs. This beaded barrette was woven on a loom especially for seed beads. I came up with this design to showcase the different colors that are common with this type of art form. In Native Indian pieces they used glass seed beads that were not as uniform as the ones I have used here. I guess you can thank technology for that. This is a large barrette that is about 3.75"
An original design of mine, scheduled to be published in Beadwork magazine in March of 2009, was used to create these stunning earrings. Made with genuine 3mm Swarovski crystals in sparkling blue zircon, they are full of sparkle! To accent the colors in the Swarovski crystals, I used a tiny size 15 seed bead in a beautiful, delicate shade of powder-blue.
