This is a fantastic vintage Hawaiian muumuu dress from the 1970's. The material is 100% cotton, and it has a lovely palm leave design done in light pink over a slightly darker pink background. The dress has cap sleeves with large pink and white tiers of ruffles on them, giving them a puffy look. The sleeves have elastic on both the shoulder and the arm hole to help keep them in place. Perfect Plaid Minidress (upcycled)
This dress was a huge vintage mumu (or is it muumuu?) in it's past life. I think it was size 18. I've taken it's best qualities and featured them in this adorable minidress. I just love the pink, teal, white, and blue plaid fabric. I first turned it around and replaced the buttons all the way down with white ones (AFTER taking off the purple in the back shot). The original bodice back pintucks are now on the front and I added some matching pleats on the back of the bodice. The pink bow sash isn't attached
