    On a recent walk through Pier Park in Portland, OR, numerous pine cones were seen littering the ground. These pine cones reminded Lixo of the pine cone paper she made five years ago in Portland, ME. She decided to revisit this paper, and turn it into a new book. ?\tThe pine cones used for the cover were collected from Pier Park. They were coated in a varnish for longevity. ?\tThe brown suede on the cover was leftover from a bag of suede scraps found at a craft store years ago. The edges are hand stitched.
